2014 – 15 Cincinnati Basketball Student Ticket Policy


Cincinnati students must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible to claim / purchase a student ticket for games at Fifth Third Arena.

    1. Must be enrolled as a full time student
    2. Graduate / Intern / Co-op / Part time students must verify the Student Life fee payment through the Bursar’s Office

The list of eligible students is provided to the Cincinnati Athletics Department by One Stop. Students who are deemed eligible may purchase student tickets, however, if the Student Life fee is not paid, tickets will be removed from their account.

Student tickets are free and are released in blocks.

In Person

Students can pick up their tickets in person at the UC Ticket Office. The UC Ticket Office is located in the Lindner Center (Suite 480) and is open Monday through Friday from 8am – 5pm.

How to obtain Student Tickets to the
Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout:

Earn Points

Students will receive 1 point for each Men’s Basketball home game they attend.

Attend as many of the 16 men’s basketball home games in advance of Xavier game. The last game that will be counted towards your point total is on Saturday, February 7th against USF.

Redeem Tickets

Monday, February 9th: Tickets to the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout will be available to the top 400 students that have loyalty points. This will also be the only group that will be allowed the option to purchase 1 student guest ticket.

Wednesday, February 11th: Tickets to the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout will be available to everyone that has earned a loyalty point. There will be no student guest tickets available for this group.

Friday, February 13th: If student tickets still remain to the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout at this date they will be released to all students.

There are sets of entrance doors located on the east, west, and north sides of Fifth Third Arena. Additional entrance doors are located through the third floor of the Richard E. Lindner Center. Please note, only east concourse gates will be open for women's games. Gates for all men's games open 90 minutes prior to tip. Gates for all women's games open 60 minutes prior to tip.

  • All bags will be searched upon entry into the facility. Except for items pertaining to medical conditions or child care, all bags, backpacks, video cameras, large cases for binoculars or other items, fanny packs and large purses (larger than 10"by 10") are prohibited and banned in Fifth Third Arena.
  • Prohibited items must be returned to the owner's car or discarded. Any unlawful items are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession is subject to arrest.

Alcohol must be purchased inside Fifth Third Arena and will be sold until the 10 minute mark of the second half. Fans must be 21 to purchase beer and identification must be presented upon request. All other alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

Box office locations open two hours prior to tip-off at the West windows of the Richard E. Lindner Center, located directly beside Fifth Third Arena. Children three (3) and under are not required to have a ticket for entrance into Fifth Third Arena for UC Athletics events if they sit on the lap of a ticket holder.

Hand-held still cameras are permitted for personal use only. No cameras with a lens longer than four (4) inches are permitted into Fifth Third Arena. Flash photography is not permitted at any time inside Fifth Third Arena. Video cameras are not permitted in Fifth Third Arena for men's or women's basketball games. There shall be no filming of pregame, in-game or postgame activities on cellphones, iPads, or any other electronic device.Note "Secondary use of any pictures, audio description, film, tape or drawing of the game are the exclusive rights of the NCAA".

A great variety of food items and Pepsi products are available from the concession stands located throughout Fifth Third Arena. All permanent stands accept credit and debit.

In case of evacuation, instructions will be given over the public address system. Gate personnel and ushers will assist in directing fans to the appropriate location.

The Bearcats Fans First Center is located in the North Hallway of Fifth Third Arena, near the UCATS Club elevator. In addition to general customer support, fans can join the scholarship fund, purchase future game tickets, or ask about potential seat upgrades in this area. The Fans First Center opens 1.5 hours to tip-off and will remain open through the conclusion of half-time.

Emergency medical personnel are on duty at each athletics event. Medical personnel can be contacted during an event by notifying the nearest event staff member, usher, or security guard and informing them of the situation and location of the incident. The first aid center is located in the north hall on the fourth floor.

Handicap parking is available at University garage. Please view the Parking tab for additional information.

In the event of inclement weather (i.e. dangerous winds, tornado, electrical storm, etc.) all guests will be advised that it is in their best interest to seek shelter. Emergency instructions will be delivered via the public address system and the message boards when possible.

Found items may be turned over to any Fifth Third Arena Staff Member or Police Officer, or at the Public Safety Office in Edwards Three. Inquires about lost items should be directed to Fifth Third Arena Staff or Police Officers during the Event, or to the Public Safety Office at 513-556-4925, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at any time thereafter.

No Fans will be allowed on the court postgame

Patrons with disabilities should contact the UC Athletics Ticket Office so that their needs may be attended to effectively. Cash parking for patrons needing accessible parking is available in University Garage. A state-issued handicap pass is required.

For any problems or complaints during a home game, locate your nearest usher who will contact the appropriate University Personnel to resolve the matter.

Single speaker radios are allowed into the arena only if they do not interfere with other guests' enjoyment of the game.

There is no re-entry at Fifth Third Arena.

Restrooms are located throughout the arena. Accessible facilities are located on the East and West concourses.

There are no designated smoking areas in Fifth Third Arena.

• The UC Bookstore will be selling merchandise in the east and west concourses of Fifth Third Arena during men's home games. Merchandise will also be available for purchase during select women's basketball home games. Merchandise may also be purchased through the Cincinnati online store at www.shop.gobearcats.com.

The University of Cincinnati is committed to promoting a positive and safe environment at all home events. In accordance with NCAA and AMERICAN Athletic Conference rules, we ask that all fans act responsibly and courteously to those around you. Abusive language or disorderly conduct is unacceptable and unwelcome at UC. Any spectator who interferes with the game by coming onto the court or by throwing objects on the court at any time will be removed from the arena and subject to further sanctions which may include loss of future ticket privileges. Your cooperation is appreciated.

All students will be issued a wristband for either the north or south side student section and must be worn at all times. Student ticket information can be found under Pricing in the Student Ticketing tab.

All tickets will be electronically scanned to verify authenticity. Patrons assume all risks for tickets purchased through sources other than the UC Athletics Ticket Office.

UCATS Club will be offering a new menu & select craft beers for the 2014-15 men’s basketball season!

  • 6th Floor Herschede Lounge will open Friday, November 14th and will remain open for all home games during the 2014-15 season. The Herschede Lounge offers a full cash bar and “bar food” menu. The 6th floor opens 90 minutes prior to tip-off. Food sales stop at halftime & alcohol sales stop at 10 minutes remaining in the second half.

Looking to bring a group of friends or co-workers to watch a Bearcats basketball game this year?


No matter what the occasion is, we can accommodate your group in one of our Bearcats Party Decks!

Enjoy the exclusivity of a special section for you and your party, with tickets for just $15 per person.  Packages come in groups of 30 or 60 tickets for general groups and include a visit from the Bearcat during the game, a signed poster for the group leader, and a live feature of your section on the videoboard!

We can also host children’s birthday parties (6th grade or younger) in the Bearcats Party Decks as part of the Birthday with the Bearcats package!  Tickets are still just $15 per person, but the minimum is only 20 tickets for youth birthday parties.  Each Birthday with the Bearcats package includes a visit from the Bearcat during the game, a signed poster for the birthday boy/girl, and a live feature of your section on the videoboard!
